A Charity Initiative Supporting Cancer Awareness
WalkForPapa is a heartfelt and impactful initiative led by Dr. Herman – a 9-day, 422-kilometer “fasting walk” from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore dedicated to raising awareness about cancer. The journey, inspired by Dr. Herman’s father battling cancer, is a call to honor our parents and address the urgent need to take cancer seriously as cases continue to rise globally.
As active participants, we were honored to support and promote this inspiring cause, encouraging others to join in and make a difference.
The Event: Two Opportunities to Participate
- Herman’s Fasting Walk (from KL to Singapore)
- Spanning nine days and covering 422 kilometers, Dr. Herman will walk without consuming food, relying solely on water to symbolise his spiritual support for his father who is battling 4th stage cancer.
- Community Walks (3 and 5 kilometers) – In Singapore
- Participants are invited to walk alongside Dr. Herman for a meaningful 3 kilometers at Singapore Causeway or Yishun MRT. Community walkers follow a shorter route to the finish line.
The event culminates at the finish line with family-friendly activities such as hot air balloons, paintball, archery, and ATV rides, creating an opportunity to bond and contribute to this charitable cause.
